No. BarCoe Studios is based at twofour54 on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, where our recording and photo studios are. Events in Ras Al Khaimah are produced on location: RAK city is about an hour from Dubai and around two and a half hours from our studio in Abu Dhabi, so crew and equipment travel in, load-in happens the day before for larger builds, and overnight stays for the team are planned into the budget openly. Studio days for interviews or content can be added in Abu Dhabi.

Any licensed venue in the emirate: Al Hamra International Exhibition & Conference Centre and RAK Exhibition Centre in Al Nakheel for congresses and exhibitions, the Waldorf Astoria and Hilton Al Hamra Beach & Golf Resort in Al Hamra, Rixos Bab Al Bahr and Mövenpick Resort on Al Marjan Island, Rotana The Mangroves in Al Juwais and The Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi Desert. The Jebel Jais decks, the Al Hamra golf and yacht clubs and the pearling village of Al Jazirah Al Hamra work for outdoor and film-style formats.

All of them. Most productions happen on Al Marjan Island, in Al Hamra Village, in RAK city between the Old Town, Al Nakheel and Al Seer, in Mina Al Arab and Hayat Island, on Jebel Jais, around Al Wadi Desert and Khatt, and in the Saqr Port and Al Hulaila industrial belt. Al Dhait, RAK Central, Digdaga and the airport corridor are covered just the same. Jebel Jais adds around 90 minutes of mountain road from the coast, which we plan as its own leg.

Yes. PA and audio mixing, stage and ambient lighting, LED walls and projection, stage sets, trussing, rigging, backstage comms and crew are part of our own set-up. That is the decisive part here: the conference centre in Al Hamra has house infrastructure, but a beach lawn on Al Marjan Island, a desert camp in Al Wadi and a plateau on Jebel Jais need generator power, wind-rated rigging and gear that survives sand, salt or cooler mountain nights.

October to April. The emirate's own calendar sets the peaks: the Ras Al Khaimah Championship on the DP World Tour, the RAK Half Marathon, HIGHLANDER Ras Al Khaimah, the RAK Art Festival, the Exotic Wedding Planning Conference and the UAE Tour mountain stage on Jebel Jais. Around those dates the Al Marjan and Al Hamra resorts sell out, which affects both venue availability and crew accommodation — hold your date early. Summer productions move to interiors, evenings or the mountain, which stays several degrees cooler.

For congresses, resort galas and outdoor productions on Jebel Jais or in the desert, 8–12 weeks covers venue contracts, approvals, design, suppliers and crew accommodation. Smaller corporate events and dinners in RAK city or Al Hamra can often be produced within 3–4 weeks. Sports weekends and the golf championship week are the exceptions and should be held much earlier.
