SOUND BETTER LIVE

Live Sound Workshop for Audio Engineers

Two days on a real stage: learn the language, wire the desk, set up the stage and run a sound check with a live band.

Overview

Most courses stop at plugging in a few microphones. This one doesn't. Over two days you learn how a live stage really works — from the terminology and signal flow to wiring the desk and setting up the stage yourself — and then you run a real sound check with a real band. It's a beginner workshop: we don't assume you know anything, but we keep it hands-on from the start, because you learn faster with the gear in your hands.

Course schedule

We start with the language of live sound and how the signal travels from the stage to the speakers. Not a lecture for its own sake — the goal is that the next day, when someone says 'I need this here', you know exactly what they mean.
