Born and raised in Edinburgh, Greg dreamed of being a musician his whole life and quit his day job in 2014 to grab the opportunity to make it happen. Following an incredible amount of hard work and personal growth – he has now reached a level of songwriting maturity that would sit comfortably next to the likes of Paolo Nutini and Brandon Flowers. Pop-soaked melodies paired with a powerful yet vulnerable voice make his songs feel really genuine and from the heart. A six-month stint in California was where he honed his songwriting craft – loneliness can be hard, but it can also be the perfect catalyst for artistic inspiration. Greg left everything he knew behind to throw himself into his music career and found himself completely alone on the other side of the world. He harnessed this valuable time and used it to develop his musicianship – so when he briefly returned to Scotland in 2015, he landed with a splash by releasing his debut single ‘These Walls’ which received extensive BBC radio coverage – including being featured as “Single of the Week” on BBC Radio Scotland.
Having gotten a taste of the life of a musician traveling the world, he quickly upped his sticks again – only this time to the Middle East. His move to Dubai unveiled a whole new world of inspiration and collaboration as he began to make music with some of the best local musicians, but he continued to work hard and dedicate time to his own music career too which led to producing and independently releasing his second single, Heart of a Lion, in 2017. His second single flew as high as his first and it led to a number of prestigious live performances including the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix and the Dubai World Cup.
Starting the year of 2020 with support slots for Grammy Award winners One Republic, and two-time Brit Award winner Lewis Capaldi, whilst self-releasing his third single Million Miles, Greg Pearson, the Scottish singer-songwriter is back and bringing in with a bang.
